Mr. Maranan joined the Firm in 2018 and is part of the Firm’s Dispute Resolution, Litigation, and Labor Groups. He has since represented various advocacies ranging from defending the interests of publicly listed corporations, representing foreign investors in arbitral tribunals, and advocating for public interest before the Philippine Supreme Court. He also represents and gives legal guidance to one of the leading light rail service companies in the country.
Aside from his litigation expertise, Mr. Maranan has considerable experience in Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Joint Ventures, and was instrumental in negotiating joint venture agreements for one of the premier water companies in the Philippines. He also handles special projects, catering mostly to clients in the public utilities industry.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Maranan worked in one of the largest conglomerates in Southeast Asia as a paralegal supervisor where he gained considerable experience in the fields of labor law, corporate litigation, and compliance. He earned his law degree from San Beda University College of Law in 2017 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2018.
