Manila Water Company Inc. (MWC), with the help of MOSVELDTT, has won the contract to build, operate and expand the water supply system and sanitation facilities in Obando, Bulacan through a joint venture company. MWC's wholly-owned subsidiary Manila Water Philippine Ventures Inc. (MWPV) received the notice of award dated Jan. 24 from the Obando Water District. Upon fulfillment of the conditions precedent, MWC, through MWPV, will form a joint venture company (JVC) that will be in charge of the project's implementation. The said JVC will then obtain a concession from OWD as its agent and contractor, in order to develop and repair water facilities in Obando. The JVC aims to fully improve water services in the municipality, including its sanitation services.more
