Mr. Belen has been in the Firm since 2023, immediately after being admitted to the Philippine Bar.
As a student, he previously worked as a Research Assistant at the UP Law Center and as an intern for the Philippine Law Journal. He completed an externship with the Office of the Solicitor General and garnered distinction for his service in the Office of Legal Aid.
Mr. Belen enjoys the diverse challenges that come with handling both litigation and corporate law matters. During his stay in the firm, he has handled various matters spanning different specializations. He has handled work in commercial arbitration, successfully defending clients in multi-million peso contractual disputes, securitization, where he has participated in the securitization of various asset backed securities, and has assisted in legal consultancies for other complex financial transactions. More recently, he has assisted as counsel for the Senate in public interest cases before the Supreme Court.
On the weekends, Mr. Belen is an avid cyclist and is a licensed scuba diver. He enjoys spending his free time outdoors, whether it be on the mountain trails or at sea.
